Hours: Daily, 8am until San Jose, CA one-half hour after (408)277-4191 sunset Admission: Parking:$4 per private vehicle Map available Located by scenic Coyote Creek, visitors can enjoy everything from a picnic or barbacue amid beautiful lawn areas and shade trees; a visit to Happy Hollow Park and Zoo to see the many animals and take in a puppet show; a walk through a tranquil Japanese Garden with ponds filled with colorful koi; to a step back in time to historic 1800's San Jose at the Historical Museum. Picnic tables with small barbecue pits are located in shaded areas throughout the park. Five picnic sites that can accomodate from 30 to 100 people are available by reservation (408-277-5561). All other picnic areas are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Dogs are allowed but must be kept on a leash at all times. Dogs are not allowed in Happy Hollow, the Japanese Gardens or the Historical Museum. Parking fees are collected on weekends and holidays year round. They are also collected on school holidays at Christmas and in the spring, and daily from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. More information is available
