impressum - An impressum (German for imprint / inprinting / imprinting) is an indication of origin that contains data concerning the publishing house, prescribed in publications, author, publisher and/or editorship. Often also additional information is specified such as printers and feature way, - date and - place.

With the above definition being a translation of the following:

Ein Impressum (lat. Das Ein-/Aufgedruckte) ist eine in Publikationen vorgeschriebene Herkunftsangabe, die Angaben über den Verlag, Autor, Herausgeber und oder Redaktion enthält. Oft werden auch zusätzliche Informationen wie Drucker und Erscheinungsweise, -datum und -ort aufgeführt. [^1]
